how do I make copys of my friends games to use on my xbox? I understand I need a mod chip, which is a good one? Also can someone give me a link to the software I need to burn and manage the games?
Thanx
dude
this is what you need
chipped xbox
ftp programe i use flashfxp v2.0 build908
evolutionx (evox) newest version is 1.8.3285
cross over cable
and a lan card in your pc
some people use a hub or router but i don't
i simpley connect my xbox to my pc's lan card using the cross over cable
you run flashfxp on your pc and evox on your xbox.
evox x will give you your ip number, once you have it you connect to the xbox using flashfxp.
sorry i cant give links to evox on this forum for legal reasons.
but you can get a 30 day trial version of flashfxp from www.flashfxp.com
once you have this set up you copy the game info to your pc and burn to dvd
you can either create a xiso or do as i do and create a data burn as described below.
i never create iso images for xbox games.
i use the method i am about to explain this has worked on 33 successfull games for me.
i first started off trying to backup by making xiso's it didn't work very well for me.
this is the method i use now to backup my xbox games.
1. connect to xbox using evox and flash fxp.
2 create a temp folder on my pc and transfer all game data from xbox dvd drive to this temp folder
3. start recordnowmax 4.50 and cancell the wizard
4. select file / new / data dvd.
from the top left hand menu bar.
5. when the burn window opens. i minimise recordnowmax and double click the temp file i previousley created (enter the file as normal)
6. select all game data in this file and copy it using left click on the mouse.
7. maxamise recordnowmax and paste all data in to the burn window.
8 press burn button and insert a blank dvd.
sit back and wait for burn to complete.
this method has worked perfectley for me each time and i have created 33 succesfull xbox backups with no problems at all.
hope this helps

Dude
Have you tried making an iso with isomaker? It works way better than xiso. The games load faster too. If you havent you should give it a shot.
yeah
but i prefer the data method it always works for me also i like to see the files on the finnished dvd when inserted back in to my pc.
the iso method just does not like me and i realy don't like it either.
