How to play an already copied Safedisc2 cd? (Black and White)

Howdy,

I'm in the situation where I tried to backup my original Black and White cd. However I had no idea that it contained the SafeDisc2 protection so I thought everything was ok....until I couldnt find my original cd. First i was like..."ahh..easy now...youve got a backup.." - but now I cant install the bugger........goes to 92% in the installation and then comes with the famous "cant find data3.cab on cd0" error. I cant even copy the 400mb (approx) file data2.cab to my harddrive.

How do I play this game from my backup cd?

if you have first installed the game from the original-cd and now want to reinstall it from the backup this could be a problem. some games leave "invissible" data on your hard disk when you install them like i mentioned above. if you now want to play it from the copy, the only way may be to reinstall windows! sounds hard but thats my opinion. but only do this if you are sure that your copy doesnt have any errors and make sure that you didnt make any other mistake! reinstalling windows should allways be the last option you take! so first try all the other things that could lead to a solution for your problem!

Well I installed windows again, and the same error appears. I cant copy the data2.cab file to the harddrive for some weird reason.

Any other suggestions?

try using I6comp.exe v 1.02 from gamecopyworld
this extracts files from b&w's cab files other than that i cant help you

there's a beta out on gamecopyworld for 1.03b, but not 1.02 (1.03b gives me an error also:

An exception occured
This might be a new version of InstallShield unsupported at this moment
)

Anyone still have 1.02?
