Help: Problems Backing Up Kingdom Hearts

Hi all,

I am trying to backup Kingdom Hearts (USA NTSC) and I am only getting coasters.

Here is what is happening... I use RecordMax! to make a 1:1 copy of the original Kingdom Hearts DVD at 1x speed. It burns with out error.

However, when I try to boot it on my V5 PS2 (swap magic & flip top cover) it waits at a black screen with the PS2 making sqeeking sounds trying to read the backup.

I have backed up and used MGS2, FFX, RF2, and GTA Vice with no problems.

I've tried to use 4 different kinds of DVD-R media to backup Kingdom Hearts on all with the same result.

I'm sure nothing is wrong with the original DVD.

Does anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong? I don't want to make anymore coasters....

I'm using the Toshiba SD-R5002 drive.

I'm not sure, but this may be one of the games that the Swap Magic Discs WILL NOT BOOT.... There are several games that these discs won't boot....
Maybe someone can confirm that this is one of those games...

I checked that at another forum. Other people can boot KH with Swap Magic.

i did kh without any problem on a magic 3 ver4 ps2
