OK guys here me out. I am from the PS2 scene and I wondered how you were getting on over here but as I can see it ain't going too well for you, so I thought I may try and help you if I could. So I see the Gamecube games are based on Mini-DVD correct?, and that you are using CloneCD to read you're games. Well, here is the problem...

1. CloneCD has TOC issues with DVD as in IT DOESN'T WORK WITH MEDIA OVER 700MB! So, you're GameCube DVD's, which hold 1.5 Gb. aren't going to work with this software even though it may appear to be successfully reading/writing to a disk – IT WON’T BE DOING SO L.

2. As you can get hold of a DVD Burner, you need to get one AND some Mini-DVD media. As you can get this it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I recommend a Pioneer A04/A05 or a Sony DRU-500 - all are absolutely fantastic!

3. Forget CloneCD - Use some DEDICATED DVD BURNING SOFTWARE - Use something like Prassi Primo DVD or Stomp Record Now MAX for this remember - FORGET CLONECD!

4. Go to somewhere like www.psxcopyworld.co.uk or a new site which will be open soon - www.mjpaul.freeserve.co.uk for information on how to burn these things - It will be the same basic rules for burning GC games!

5. Give it a go. Let us know how you get on which should be perfectly well! Keep us posted guys - Thanx for you're time and good luck - Glad I could help...

I don’t know much on whether you have to mod you’re Game Cubes or not but this burning method should be 100% successful!

What did I say? I merely implied that I was here to TRY and help speaking from my experience on the PS2 boards and fields of copying/backing up or whatever you want to call it. I did not intend to upset anybody by trying to help with your situation as I mentioned I am NOT a GC owner and do not intend to become one so I think it is only fair to allow me to get something wrong. Hell, my theory is about as close as all your theories anyway - IT DON'T WORK! I am sorry yet again but there is absolutely no need at all whatsoever to take that tone to my reply. You could at least appreciate me taking time out of something which is of valid use to me to try and help you guys here, rather than what most people seem to be doing - completely ignoring you're board if it doesn't apply to them. I only tried to make a difference. Good luck in your quest but you must respect the fact that I have dealt in this thing before and that I DO know my stuff when it comes to backing up DVD FORMATS whether it be DVD Video or DVD Roms of other nature i.e.: (SACD, DVD-A or general DVD-ROM). I am sorry yet again for any inconvenience I may have caused you and I think i shall leave it there...

i might buy a GC and a couple games just to test this out :)

then return it of course.

its a very logical idea, and a damn good one at that.

We all know PrimoDVD and RecordNOW can't copy GC games. The dvd's are probably encrypted like M$'s. I'm pretty sure that in the entire year that the GC was out, at least 20 major hackers have tried those programs already.

Also, if it did work (which it won't), I doubt the game would play without a modchip and we all know there is no modchip out that will boot unsigned code.
