DVD+RW on PS2

My writer only writes to RW media, Can I backup PS2 and play them or do I need to backup on DVD-R?

Yes you can. I succesfuly backed up the following on a DVD+RW, and have worked FLAWLESSLY

1. GTA Vice City
2. MGS2
3. MK Deadly Alliance

Just remember, whatever chip you have installed, you must use a certain boot method to get the game going. Don't just go slapping it in, try to play it, and say hey this ain't working. Whatever chip you have, look up the booting methods. Hope this helps.

Infidelity is right... You can backup PS2 games on a RW disc...... However.....It depends on what version PS2 you have, if it will play in it or not.....

V5 or Higher.......No problem
V4 or lower........May Not Work......

The earlier PS2's had CRAP lasers and sometimes have a hard enough time reading a DVD-R, much less a DVD-RW....

Ah, I didn't know that early PS2's had a problem with playing DVD+RW's?? Funny. Well, hope he/she's got a v7. You learn something new everyday!!! ;)
