I have a few questions, and am hoping that maybe some of you guys can answer them. I just bought a PS2, and now I need to have fun with it.

1.) I do not have a DVD burner, so which Mod-chip would work well for games backed up onto cd-r. Would this mod-chip also play backed up PSONE games?

2.) Are there anways to surf the web with the PS2?

3.) Is it possible to rip PS2 games (of course using my DVD player in my computer), and then burn them to CDR for backup purposes?

4.) Is it possible to play VCD's on the PS2? Are there any media players for PS2 that let you play say mpegs, or Divx?

Thanks a million and one for any thing you can tell me.

Charlie's Reply: Any mod chip works with CD-R. Thjey all play PS1 backups.

Charlie's Reply: Not so far as I'm aware. That said, Linux has been run up on the PS2 and there may be something possible there with the network adapter.

Charlie's Reply: There's tons of stuff on how to do this in this forum

Charlie's Reply: I occasionally see claims that it can now be done. Just do a search on DIVX.

Thanks a million and one for any thing you can tell me.
