Has anyone had success in copying and installing/playing any Safedisc v2 games with a Mitsumi CR-4804TE burner? Let's hear your results! =)

Possible - Mitsumi burners use Philips hardware and Philips burners are able to copy SafeDisc 2.

I have a external Backpack CD rewriter 24x4x4 which I believe is the same as an internal Mitsumi CR-4804 (beside being external and on a printer port)

I am going to try to copy Red Alert 2 sometime soon (today tomarrow, tuesday, whenever I get my CD back from the cottage) and I will tell you if I had success and how to do it.

I also have an internal Ricoh MP7060A and I have tried to copy red alert 2 and I have had partial success using patches, but that writer refuses to write further then around 30 megs now, I have to get it repaired soon, but the backpack is much better because it writes in DAO-RAW mode unlike the Ricoh.

I KNOW HWO TO COPY SAFEDISC 2 GAMES!!!

Here's how to do it:

Get Playbackup
-Download Playback 2.1 from gamecopyworld.com
-Install playback to all computers that will be running the backups.

Make CD image with CloneCD
Use these settings:
-Read SubChannel data from Data Tracks
-Read SubChannel data from Audio Tracks
-Fast Error Skip (click the finger next to it and put at least 5 retries and Error correction to "None")

Close CloneCD and run "patchimage.exe" from where-ever playbackup is installed, and patch your image file

Run CloneCD and burn image to a CDR using these settings:
-Any write speed
-RAW DAO if possible, if no then RAW SAO (might not matter)
-Wait untill buffers are full (really doesn't matter)

Now you just have to run Playbackup while you play your SafeDisc 2 games and it should work fine!
