Liteon & LG seem to be fairly good.

what do you want it specifically for (apart from backing up CDs - do you want specifically audio cd/psx/ps2/dc?)

For ps2 games do you want to rip games or do 1:1 copies?

Go for the Liteon or LG burner then.
As Bighap mentioned, these burners have a best write mode of RAW DAO-96 allowing you to make 1:1 backups of your PS2 (CD based) and PSX games.

Where about are you in the world? We could perhaps point you in the right direction price/quality wise.

but thats o.k.
I pretty much know the prices.

i can get LG

48X12X48 for less than 90$
or
40x12x40 for less than 80$

what do you think?

isnt 48 is too fast?
i mean if i would like to make 1:1 copy from my cd-rom
will it keep up with the burner writing speed?(i have 52x cd rom)

and nother question, what is the diffrence between OEM and RETAIL?(i saw retail is a little bit cheaper)

OEM is cheaper.
