I have the cheap ass USBMOD but I found out that they can't read DVD-R discs. Thus I need to buy a new modchip that will work with both cd-r & the dvd-r discs. Also without using the Gameshark disc. Do any of you guys know which one is the best one to get? and for the best price? Thank you in advance.

What about people who live in Canada? Do you know of any places where I could get my ps2 chipped?

I would still send it to Bill at freedomlives.com (www.freedomlives.com) . It may cost you a few more dollars to ship but his services and price are worth it. Everybody who has used him swears by him, including myself. Does a great job and is very reliable.

I'd feel more comfortable shipping my PS2 somewhere inside of Canada. Know of any places?

Matt,
if someone were to give a top place to go like
BIGHAP has for you then i'd post mine to Bill at FREEDOM LIVES
and i'm in the UK.
(CHARLIE looked after me though so i didn't have to.)

What i'm trying to say is for peace of mind you can't do better than sending your beloved ps2 to someone who YOU KNOW
can be trusted.

Just make sure it's well packed and it's under insured delivery or whatever you have in CANADA/USA.

Argo.
