I was reading up on the Xecuter Pro modchip and saw that it has been said that you can switch off the chip and Xbox Live wont even detect the chip at all, thus allowing you to play Xbox Live games online. Has anyone with this mod tried this? Does it infact work?

Also, does the chip require a bios update? If so, when u update the bios of the system, does it only do it on the mod chip, or is the bios updated on the xbox? And if it does update the Xbox bios, is there a way to backup the original Xbox bios to re-install it and remove the chip?

First off, that chip isn't out yet, but will be soon. Anyways, the modchip is able to be disables, if you choose to install a disable switch. There is a specific place on the modchip that you can insert a regular on/off switch in the wiring. Since there is no complete curcuit, the chip is not detectable. And both the pro/lite, and v1 x-ecutor chips has this.

what about the bios? will installing it make the bios different? I hear Xbox Live checks the bios and will ban you from service if you have a mod chip installed. Will the on/off switch prevent this?

Modchips are MS bios, but hacked to play unsigned code. So if you install a chip, you install different bios. A disable switch is meant to turn the switch off, so you can play online.
