Clone CD and Plex 24X

I have the latest version of Clone CD. I recently purchased a Plextor 24X and a Sony DVD player. When I try to read a Safedisk or a Safedisk v2 I have problems reading the cd. When I read the cd from a Plex 12X SCSI or a Plex 16X within 30 seconds it will tell me how long it will take to read the cd and it will have read at least 3 percent. When I try to read the cd with either my 24X Plex or My 16X Sony DVD player it take the reader at least an hour to read 1 percent and no defined time to be done. This is with the Fast Error Skip enabled. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Try to download the latest Plex firmware (1.02) from Plextor site. It reads much better and wrtites better too. Older firmware took about 1 hr to read a CD (as you have personally experienced). More info you can find at ####://www.cdrinfo.com
