Ok, but the problem is probably due to a imcompatibility with all your burning sofwares... Try to install only one soft (MP3 LIQUID BURN is excelent ----> http://www.chez.com/bravioul69/ upped by myself for u). Enjoy !

Hi everybody,

I just bought a RICOH MP7200 (20x/10x/40x) IDE CD Recorder.
I installed Nero 5.5 on my Windows 2000 (AMD 1.4 Ghz computer - HD 40 Go UDMA
7200RPM 256 RAM DDR installed) with Ultra-DMA activated.

1) I burnt (and read) many CD-ROM and it worked fine (even at high speed)

2) I burnt data CD-RW and delete them several times and it also worked fine.

3) I burnt an Audio CD-RW with the following options (set by default) :

- Disc at Once
- Finalize the CD

and I was able to play the CD perfectly.

4) I then tried to erase the CD another time (the problem is exactly the same
with Quick or Full erase) :

- Nero displayed the progress bar and finally displayed the message box
"Unable to recover TOC" (on the same time, the CD-Recorder LED was
blinking)

- I am now unable to read the CD : Windows 2000 or Nero or anything else
tells me that the CD is unreadable.

5) I thought that the problem was coming from the CD so I bought another
CD-RW to make some tests : I did the same thing and lost another CD-RW.

6) I inspected the surface of the 2 CDs but I found nothing wrong (I recall
that I just bought the CDs)

=> It looks at if it was impossible for me to erase a CD-RW previously
written with Audio tracks (and when "Disc at Once" and "Finalize" options
are activated)
Moreover, it kills all my CD-RW.

Since everything works fine with burning CDs (except RW Audio CDs), I suppose
it is a software problem.

Does anyone know where that problem can come from ? (I don't think that I do
anything wrong)

Is there a way to recover my CD-RW ?

Please Help !
Thank you in advance.

Try a full erase of the rewritable using a different burning program such as CDRWin.

... or Easy CD Creator (which is useless for Playstation but always erases a CD-RW)!
