ive formatted my hd and installed win98se again
along with drivers for burner when i try to copy a disc with cdrwin i get a message "no cdrom recording device was found on the scsi or ide bus
how can i fix this problem please help asap
Can we have more info pls?
1 What is the burner?
2 Which version of CDRWin and is it licensed or within demo period?
3 Is the burner "seen" in Windows Explorer?
4 What is the Device Manager readout for the burner?
It's that painfully obvious!
Would suspect that even the help file would explain this.
YOU DON"T HAVE ASPI INSTALLED!
As per my answer to your allied Easy CD Creator question on the CD/DVD Writers Forum.

where do i find aspi?
Easiest place to get it is www.goldenhawk.com
Look for the LSI ASPI Layer.
You might need V4.0ABeta - supports a lot more drives.
I have the same problem can anybody help -
I have liteon 16x10x40 (supported) and ASPI V4.60 installed. It used to work before but not any more.

i got the same problem before, more weird things happened, once i burn the game, and put in the cdrom, and explore it ,, it shows NO FILEs just nothn in the cd, but it said how much space i used ..
pls help out!
Have you tried the LATEST CDRWin? It worked for me.
Spoonteam: your's may be a Windows 95/98 problem with non-standard files. It may be necessary to boot into MS-DOS from the emergency disk (with CD-ROM support) and look at the files that way - or upgrade to Windows 2000
just a question has anyone helped these people with the aspi driver yet
