Need help with Skies of Arcadia

Hi,
I'm wanting to make "Skies of Arcadia" VGA compatible. I have the 2-CD version. I have tried everything I know, but I can't get it to work. It just quits after the "echelon" cheat screen. I can't hack the 1st_read.bin with binhack, so I've tried bin2booting it... with no success.

If anyone has made this work, I would love to know.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess you tried to edit ip.bin.
If you know which bytes to modify in ip.bin, you should try to make an image and Hedit it to set these bytes. If you don't, try to use ipbin4win to set the VGA check box, compare your new ip.bin with a not modified one, note which bytes have changed and then modify them in your image...

Yeah, I've done the ip.bin.
I've also made a Disc Juggler image by reading the CD to an image file and looked for "katana" to change the VGA that way. The problem is there's no "katana" to be found... no CD001, nothing.
That left me with doing what I usually do with all my non-vga games. I just extract the files, make a new ip.bin and make my new cd.
That hasn't worked with this one yet, because the 1st_read.bin is different than normal. I don't know what to do with it because it can't be binhacked. That's why I just stuck it all together in an iso and bin2booted the thing.
It starts out fine and goes to the echelon cheat/trainer screen then once you select your cheats, it resets to the system setup creen.

Any luck yet? I don't have any spare cd-r's to waste, so I'm just gonna wait till you guys make up an solution :D

Nope,
I'm still waiting on a response. I've killed about 5 CD's on it so far, and don't care to waste anymore until someone is willing to give some help on this one.
