Wanted: Ps2 No Solder Mod Chip Help

I am at my wits end..PLEASE someone help..I have a PS2 SCPH-3001 R - I Think its a version 4? 8 screws, no screw in the expansion slot, serial # is followed by an "R", so if thats correct, I got a no solder chip with AR2 put it in, triple checked the connections, even changed out the reset/power cable and put it back together. My original PS2 and PS cd's and dvd's work. So does the AR2 cd, but when I try different boot methods with backup copies...NOTHING. Is it my backups? I don't have a dvd burner, just a cd burner, so I am only backing up my PS2 cd games for now. My cd burner is a Samsung 32x and I am using Blindwrite. My media is Verbatim CD-R 80 min 700mb. The program seems to burn the cd with no problems. But nothing when I put it in the PS2. Same thing with PS backups, and the AR2 disc 1 boot up process. Please help!!!!!!:o

what boot method are you using...on a no solder chip, when swapping the disks you must hold the eject button thru the whole swap, not letting off of it until the tray starts to go back in

At this point I am not to sure if I am booting right, All the instructions about the tray opening and closing automatically, doesn't happen, also some instructions say something about the color of the LED's. But my reset led light is green and the open close tray is blue and they seem to work fine but they don't change colors.

Press and hold eject for 2 sec, the reset should change from green to orange, the tray should eject hard and close automatically after about 5 sec. If this doesnt happen then the mod isnt working correctly.
