Hi all just signed up so give me a break if i ask stupid questions

the problem i am having is copying a couple of dvd games.

i am using a hp 200i drive which has been working no problem for most dvd games.

but these are the two i can not get to boot

Jedi Starfighter

&

Simpsons road rage

now i believe both these games have something to do with EA but i have heard that EA protection does not effect DVD games is this true or do i still need to patch these games.

if i do need to patch how do i create the cue and bin files for a dvd as cdrwin does not seem to support it.

Thanks in advance

i am using memorex dvd+r blanks which hae been fine for all other games but these

i am also using a neo 4 chip which says on the spec that it needs patches to run ea games.

i understand that the messiah does not require patches.

This is Wrong. There are two dvd games that are currently protected against backing up. They are:

Xenosaga (dual layered dvd)

Drakan (PAL only)

I have both of the games Maul128 was talking about and dont have a problem with either of them. That HP you have is most likely the problem I have never heard of any good results from the hp 200i drive.

Use Prassi Primo DVD or Stomp Record Now MAX (dont ask me where to get these programs!) They work a lot better than other programs out there for making PS2 dvd backups.
