Maester Seymour Flux (FFX)

I am stuck!! I have downloaded hints etc and they don't seem to be much help on how to beat Maester Seymour Flux. I don't want to cheat, call me funny, but any advice on what spells, weapons I need to use etc would be greatly appreciated. I have the feeling that I may have to have smaller battles to advance more on the sphere grid to get some more goodies. Any advice would be greatly welcome because I am sick of having to go through the movie before the battle time and time again!!!!! Thanks.

Let me guess. Your on the top of that mountain, right? If so, I was told to get all of your characters to their peak mode for their summoning monsters ( I dont remember all the terms used in the game).

Thanks for the help guys, (girls?), I have all my chatracters at overdrive and the aeons too but.....

I shall try the site and see if they can't help me. It's going through the movie all time that gets me. I am determined though.

By the way, I have a version 5 with a messiah mod chip so I am not WEAK!! Ref yr signature.

Thank god too cause I am sure that I will wear out my 'back up' of FFX before too long.

Also run a Pioneer A04 and swear by Verbatim DVD-R's.

I shall let you know how i get on with the GAME! Have you completed it?? Don't tell me the end, I hate anti-climaxes so don't spoil it for me. My Tobias and Yunie are getting it on, I am a romantic at heart and couldn't help what the game threw up. Guess there are alot of outcomes depending on what choices you make.

Actually, I was stuck at the very same spot you are. LMAO! I havent played it since. Dont get me wrong I absolutely love FFX.


I bet you would like the game ICO. That game is really cool it should match your romantic heart. As a matter of fact I think Ill start it up again one of these days.

First off you need to cast bio on seymore and protect, haste on your party. Shell helps too. Also if he castes zombie on a party member use a holy water or he will cast full-life his next turn. If you can silence him it will make things a little easier. Make sure you have megapotions. Hope this helped good luck.

u think thats hard, wait till you have to fight seymore omnis later in the game :)

but here is a quote from the offical FFX strat guide, (hope it helps)

use hatega after u have used all the trigger commands too give u a head start (but it wont last long)

Yuna's protect will greatly reduce seymores cross cleve attack and you can silence buster to prevent seymore dispel and his flare attack

b4 the fight charge up all your aeons overdrives to full and when u get in there use armour break and mental break on him then unleash all ur aeons overdrives one after another, if he's still alive after that tidus provoke is good (can't remember if seymors immune to it) cause he will always attack tidus and take half his hitpoints off but even when u get down to 1 hitpoint he attacks wont kill you.

I got time to give it ago on the weekend and I am getting further along then previously so that has to be an improvement!!

Thank you to everyone who gave me tips. The nasty Seymore is, for the moment, dead!!

I gained Hastega by going up and down the mountian a few times.

During the battle I used hastega, shell, protect and Wakka's silence buster. It was brillant. I didn't even use all my aeons or my character's overdrives. You could have knocked me over with a feather when the overkill sign came up!!! Took me half an hour in total!!:D

Thank you to all yet again andno doubt I shall have to call on your expertise again at a later date.

Thnx for the tips, I too just started playing that game again. (Gave up when i got stuck at that ba$tard). Beat him bad on my first try.
