I recently got Easy CD Creator 5 platinum. When i try to burn audio CDs it keeps telling me that i need to insert a blank CD even though i already have one in the drive. When i look at the CD properties in the menu, it tells me that the CD in the drive is indeed blank. I am able to burn Data CDs and CD images without any trouble. Any suggestions?

Try defragging your harddrive, or getting your audio files onto your harddrive and then defragging your hardrive, turn off all background running applications(ie. all the small icons next to your clock in the system tray), also slow down the write speed to 1X, if you burn successfully, then incrementally increase the speed after each successfull burn. Also turn off the autorun, right mouse click on "My Computer", select properties, go to Device Manager, open up the CD-Roms, double click on your CD-Writer, goto settings tab, and uncheck auto insert notification, click OK, go to the Performance Tab, System resources should be 94% of higher (after fresh boot), click on "File System" button, change typical role of computer to network server, change read-ahead optimization to none, click ok, click on "Graphics" button, set hardware acceloration to 3/4, click ok and close and reboot.
