I dont know how it could damage it, but ive heard people say it does. Someone please inform me.

If your talking about the Knife/credit card swap... It does damage the PS2 drive mechanics...

I agree, despite what anyone else says it will eventually ruin the PS2, stupid thing to do IMO.

no, im talking about the swap method which uses the cog.

Anything that jeapordizes moving parts is dangerous. Chip solution is the only "safe" way to do it.
