The owner of this site has just got a dvd writer and reports his success in the news section. Check it out and you may be able to email him and ask for help.

There is no software available to make straight backups of dvd titles yet.

There is some good dvd software out
Nero
Prassie
and others.
Don't have a writer yet, but am getting one in about 2-3 months.
I think for this you will have to do most of your research yourself as not many people have invested in writers as of yet.
Let us know how you get on and what you have success with.

Okay here is what I have Learned. Don't buy dvd-ram drives, they are useless for ps-2 I returned mine yesterday. Get dvd-r drives only!! Nero 5.5 will do a disc to disc back-up it worked for gt-3 a spec. You will need to swap three discs including the dvd backup with neo 2.2 and gameshark v1.9. Only 1.9 works for this. Go out and buy the DVD game with the largest T.O.C. this will be your swap disc. For detailed directions of this swap method go to the webpage posted earlier in this thread.
If anyone else does a straight copy please let me know, i'm making a list of ones that will copy with out having the DVD checks edited
