CDRwin will not give me the open session option, can anyone help?

When I try to use CDRwin it will not give me the open session option in Record Disc. Why writer supports this option in other programs so I was wondering if anyone knew why this was happenning?

CDRWin burns audio in DAO only.
Check the user manual of your recorder to see if it can burn in SAO, in addition to DAO and TAO (SAO can sometimes stand for DAO, like in WinOnCD, so make sure you have both DAO and SAO).
If not, then you cannot burn in DAO and open new session.
If yes, then maybe CDRWin doesn't recognize your drive features. Get the latest version.
I don't know if all drives support SAO.
