Hi, i feel i should warn you, im a bit of a novice and will probably come across as a complete spack.
Just got to the end of term adn have some spare time so tried to play OFP with my housemate. Installed and everthing but then realised it wont let you play without disk on both computers. Whats the best way around this? Seems a bit unfair. Whats this no-cd thing i keep hearing about? And the bit about the cracks for different patches seems to get confusing. When u install the gold cd, surely this updates to version 3 or something, but does that then mess up all the cracking that u will have done before. Or am i very, very confused indeed? I understand the latter is to do with back up cds. We both have cd writers, is it possible to just make an exact copy that can be interchanged with the original without any fuss? Any help would be very appreciated. Please speak to me like a mentally retarded infact, im used to it, and to be honest, its not a million miles away from the truth ;)

thanks in advance

theres no other way? i keep reading threads from people who have managed it but im unsure how. Is it not possible to either install the game on both machines and then use some program so that you dont need to have the disk present in both, or to back up the cd exactly so that it can be used in both pcs simultaneously? Almost every other game i have played supports multiplay without everyone needing a disk, and im certain that by not doing this they are simply encouraging pirating - RANT RANT....
