View Full Version : CD Writing modes: multisession?
CD writerers support many writing modes, such as Disc at once (DAO), Session at once (SAO) Track at once (TAO), Packet Writing and also Multisession.
Could anyone describe me what is multisesion mode and what is god for beacuse I find out that some manufactures does not support it.
Thanks, RedHat

Multisession is a form in backing up data into a same cdr in several times. I.E. if you download some progs that you want to burn into a cd, then you can re-use that cdr until it's full, without using new cdr everytime that you want to make some backups of your data. This method is very useful when you have to burn datas in several times and several days; the counterpart is that you can do that only with datas and audio and, if you use Nero to do a multisession cdr, don't forget to choose the option "start a multisession disc", otherwise you won't be able to re-use that cd anymore.
I hope to have explained it good.
