Have a look at the following sites

http://www.ps2ownz.com
http://www.sgt-dan.com

These usually have the latest patch information

Also, more info would be helpful:

1 What TV do you have? PAL or NTSC?

2 Which country version did you rip of GT3 and Resident Evil?

3 What are the symptoms of failure?

I tried the two sites, but I don't find what I'm looking for.
I have a GT3 Italian Version (I think because I've never tried it) and an English or USA version of Resident Evil.
So I bought PS2 weeks ago and still now I can't play these games.
Every kind of suggest is welcome.
Thanks.

Just checking is your ps2 chipped and are you booting with a boot disc like Region-X or Action Replay 2 / GameShark ?

For GT3, I'm fairly sure you need the JAP rip to make it work on your JAP PS2. Can't comment on Resident Evil.

The answer to Simon's question is important too.

I use the utility disk with the swap trick metod to play my backups.
What is the jap trick for GT3? If it is a patch send it to me or show me where I can get it.
Thaks to everybody.

Looking back over this post thread, I take it you have a PAL original of GT3. Yu won't be able to get that working on your Jap PS2 in the present state of mod-chips.

I believe that SimonBradley has successfully made a PAL backup of GT3. If he cares to send me a copy of the rip (I have the Jap original DVD), I'll try it out on my Jap PS2 with the Utility Disk swap method. In principle, I would hope that it should work - my concern in the earlier post was something I read on another forum. Then we'll see if you can be moved forward.

When I find the time, I'll rip my Jap GT3 original so as to preserve its condition.

There is someone with a GT3 backup working on his PS2?
I don't have a jap GT3, I have an italian GT3 backup.
Resident Evil instead starts, I choose start new game, I read the story recapitulation and after it stops.
Always thanks to everybody.

I made a mistake in my last reply.
There is someone with a GT3 PAL backup working on his PS2 JAP?

SimonBradley and I are in touch about trying GT3 PAL on JAP PS2.

So you are in trouble too... I think.
When you have the solution, please explain all to me.
Thanks a lot.

No - I'm not in trouble. I can rip the Jap version because I've got a Jap Original. The trick we want to check out on a JAP PS2 what happens with a PAL rip that is known to work on a PAL system.
