I have TEAC 532S with TEAC 55S with DJ and of course this combination can burn SD Ver 1 and 2.

But my TEAC 532S is already dead for some reason.

Do you have any suggestions on which Drive I should buy to replace my dead TEAC?

YOu know... this drive can read a Safedisc protected CD in seven mins or less with DJ Ver 1.3. not like normal CD rom.

Plextor... is it the right one i should get? Or replace my TEAC 532S with an new one?
I won't spend on IDE model, I would like SCSI interface.
Does all model of the plextor SCSI CD-rom and CD-RW read Safedisc with DJ??

I'm not the expert on all brands of burner. I use Yamaha but don't need SD2 defeat. The issue with SD2 is that EFM encodingis needed. Look up the burners (SCSI support for EFM devices is rare) on the CloneCD site (www.elby.de). DA_-RAW+96 mode is important for PS/PX2 CDs.

I don't think the 55S supports the DA0-RAW+96 mode and you should thus read and write from the replacement burner.

Good luck. I've posted a link that makes interesting reading for you.
