The guy who chipped my PS2 said v1.8 GS2 wouldnt work so i'ma try to get 1.6/7

What version PS2 do you have?? I have the US version4, Neo 2.2 modchip and gameshark2 V1.8. I also have a v4 PS2 set up with a neo-key and they both work fine using the v1.8.

Did you buy the GT3 bundle?? If so it is a version4. I live in the US and install ALOT of modchips, I have never seen or heard of a US V5 PS2 also there is no info on a v5 at Chipzone.com, www.playstationmods.com or any of the chip suppliers that i deal with.

Na its not the GT3 one, but the serial is U5811348

It is a version4 PS2. Gamesharks V1,8 will work.
