View Full Version : PAL/NTSC my TV :(
My lil TV in meh room is like a 15 inch I think (should be buying a 23 inch soon :P) and when I play games on it and gives you an option for 60Hz or 50 when I chose 60 it goes black and white and flickers, obviously my TV is not NTSC compatiable. Now what do I need to get to solve this ? Dunno if u get a RGB cable or get a PAL 2 NTSC convertor box for the TV will fix this.
(I know its a stupid question, I know the answer but I cant remember, its lingering in the back of my head somewheres, I hate it when this happens :( )
Ok thanks :)

it depends on your tv if it can play in 50 or 60 herz. Your tv simple doesn`t support 60 herz. If you have a pal ps2 and you want to play ntsc games you can download a converter on the net for each game. www.megagames.com or you buy yourself a rgb cable. How do you know if you have a rgb cable. Simple. Look at the end of the cable which you`ll out into your tv. If that plug contains i belive 20 pins you got yourself a rgb cable.

I would get the NTSC to PAL convertor from somewhere like Maplins. No patching is needed just the component lead or a fully loaded scart lead.
Thats the one, I'll get a RGB cable :) thanks
Hi,
Blaze do the best RBG Scart leads for the ps2. for a little over a tenner they are well worth it. The maplins convertor is also an option. Charlie has always praised his since ive know him. And ive always praised the Blaze lead.
Cheers
