sure it's possible, but the copy wouldn't run on ps2.
only a few V5 ps2's can read them, they got a new laser unit.. you won't know till you try it out, but the other models and the V5s with the old laser can NOT read +rw.

got to http://www.psxcopyworld.co.uk/ and check the dvd copy section you`ll find all your info there. If you have a pioneer ao3 you must upgrade to firmware 1,68 on the pioneer home site. This is good for backup up on a n name dvd-r but still need to burn no-name dvd-r at 1 speed

Hi,

If you have a PAL version 5 ps2 i would suggest you install a Messiah modchip, there all over the place these days. Just make sure you get someone who knows what there doing to put the little beauty in.

i got a ver 5, and a hp dvd+rw

dont have a mod yet, but using hp's 'make your own dvd' software, i did a test disc and it read just fine.

not sure what to make of that. but i think that i am gonna trade in the hp for the pioneer........i have an abundance of dvd-r's and the +rw's are $15 a pop...
