OK, I have EZCD v 4, but the same should apply to your setup.

The first thing I'd look at is your writer: can you burn audio in EZCD? Not MP3 but WAV files - in DAO or TAO mode.

Now if you can do this I'd look at your PC spec. What CPU do you have? To burn MP3 to audio CD's in"real-time" requires quite a bit of CPU power; my Cyrix 333+ can do it fine but only at 4x - even though I have an 8x writer.

So you've lowered your speed but still get dud discs. With MP3, I can only burn files with a bit rate of 128kbps; load Winamp and load your tracks you're trying to burn, to find out. If they're above 128kbps (ie 160kbps or 256), what you need to do is load them into EZCD as normal, but instead of burning them to disc you should create an cd image from the File menu. You can now burn at whatever speed you like, much the same as copying a game to an image file first - all of the hardwork involved in laying out the tracks correctly has been done, and all your pc is now doing is burning the resulting image.

Also, what brands of cd are you using? Some work better than others.

Hope this helps ya out a bit.
