View Full Version : CLONE CD with out Limits?

1. How do I disable the US and JP limitations that one is warned about during the install of CLONE CD.

2. Under what conditions am I going to need to AMPLIFY weak Sectors or Hide CDR Media?

3. The site cdrsoft.cc has a file that is suppose to fix CLONE CD but it is written with Delphi and I have not been able to get their CLONEAMP program to work. Anyone have any suggestions?

4. I have an IDE Plextor 2410A an I have had no problems using Clone CD on the following programs:
Battle Realms, Worms World Party, Red Alert 2. No Fast error skip used, RAW DAO. 1x read, 12x burn.
I am not having the same results with Pool of Radiance 2 or Black and White.
(I have to use the copy fix off GCW)
5. Where do I get Clony XL in English?

Go into start / run / control panel then regional settings and select
canada english and this will open up the aws of the prog.
Using sd2.5 I always use aws with changed regional settings on a lite-on 24x, but this is just how I do it. I think you dont need the aws ticked, I do though.
As far as clonyxl you can get it on GCW, I dont remember but I think its where I got it. Someone else will have to help with the rest.

Thanks, I had no Idea it would be that easy. If anyone can say when hide CDR media and Amplify weak sectors should be used Id like to hear.

With your Plex24X you will never have to use AWS (well I can't see into the future, but so far you shouldn't use it). Hide CD-R Media - this is needed on most new games if you play them in your writer. If you play them in a standard CD-ROM you won't need it (only cd-writers mainly can read the ATIP on a CD - which if found to be present the game run)

The ATIP is a small section on every CD-R that holds the manufacturers name, length etc. This ATIP isn't present on pressed Cd's, so if there is ATIP present then it won't play. When Hide CD-R Media is enabled, it hides that the game is burned, and so you will be able to play it.

You can download Clony XXL at http://insomnia.covers.de/ use the settings it gives you for each protection.


When it comes to SD2.51.021 on the Plex: Read the game to an image file at no more than 4X, patch with the NEW Betablocker, burn at no more than 6X. And use Hide CD-R Media if playing from a burner.
