View Full Version : Patching games.. how?
Hey. Simple question: how do I patch a game?
I downloaded the pal fix for Vampire Chronicles. I have "file_id.diz" and "adr-vamp.ppf". What do I open these files under? What do I do with then? Or can I just extract the .cdi and burn, with these files taking care of themselves automatically?
Thanks for your help!

Patching games is quite easy once you have the patch :
_ ".diz" files are text files (just as ".nfo" files), they often tell you what to do with your patch...
_ ".ppf" files are the real patches.
What you have to do is to apply ppf file to the image it was made for. For that, you'll need a program like PPF-O-MATIC or APPLYPPF :

TexMex657 : if you want to patch a game you already burnt, you just need to follow these simple steps :
_ make an image of your game (with DiscJuggler)
_ download the patch you want to apply
_ apply your patch on your image with a patch utility (like PPF-O-MATIC). It's really easy : select your patch, select your image, and then click "apply" !!!
_ reburn your image

MAKE it !!!
With DiscJuggler :
_ Put your CD in your reader
_ Run DiscJuggler
_ Choose "CD player to Image"
_ Choose your image's name & location
_ Click "Start"
That's done...

:(
So you have an unreadable copy and no image of your game ?
Sorry, but the only solution I see is to download your game again...
