View Full Version : bout my cd-rom
how come it can read and rip data but when it comes to audio it doesn't read or rip it. i don't wanna use my cdr to rip audio files cause it only reads a 6x. is there a way to make my cd-rom read audio cds.
What kind of cd-rom drive do you have (how fast/how old/which manufacturer). If you have a cheap drive, it might not extract audio data at all.
Just use your cd writer to extract the audio data. It's better to extract the audio tracks at 6x than not being able to extract them at all.
Btw, I never use my cd-rom drive to extract audio tracks. The reason is that it's fast, but the quality is really poor (it's a cheap Samsung drive). Instead I use my writer. My cd writer (Plextor 12/10/32TA) extracts audio data at high speeds without any problems. However, often the quality of the audio data is better when you read it at lower speeds.
yea it's a samsang, i guess ill juss use the writer to extract
