Plextor 12 10 32A

I just got a new plex 121032A, with my new comp after upgrading from a ricoh 4232, i had to put it a master on the same ide channel as my pioneer dvd player.
i am unabvle to make a backup of any of my new cds, music just comes out as white noise, psx comes out as a unreadable disc, all at both 8x and 12x, i am using cdrwin3.8c and have only the plextools installed besides that.
could it be that its on the same ide channel as my dvd player, i have a piii 800 256mb ram? any other info (eg recommended speeds etc) is greatly appreciated?

You could try upgrading to 3.8d or e cause when i bought my tdk cyclone it was burning coasters on c.

You might consider that converting the .bin image to ISO with Fireburner 1.07. I had a simular problem myself.

I have a plextor 121032a running cdclone and it's the best thing i have ever had. i use cheap disk from bitback they cost me £29 for 100 and i backup at 8x.They backup any thing that i wont to do

Mine is slaved to my HDD witha CD-rom & internal 100mb zip on IDE 2 with no probs & so far has perfectly copied everything at 12X with either Nero or Clone CD
