OK, please don't laugh. I just bought a GBA to my son for Xmas (and yes i will borrow it once in a while). I have the ads for the Flash Advance 64Mbit Package, from ####://www.gbalinker.com. I have read the description for the kit. I have also visited ####://www.pocketroms.cjb.net and I have seen their games to download. So I have got a few questions to ask. 1) Are the games to download full version or are they demos with just a few steps, contrary to the ones you buy in the shops?. 2) Is it as straight forward as they say to backup/download/copy games?. 3) Do they work really well on the GBA?. 4) And lastly do you need to buy just the kit or do you need anything else?. In advance many thanks.

Hi,

I personaly haven't got one of those flash kids but I can answer a couple of your questions :).

1. Yes if you download the rom (exact copy of the gba game) then you have the game like you would buy it in the shops. Roms are the same as image file sort ta speak for cd-roms

2. Don't know

3. Yes they realy work on the gba. Some roms might need patches but they can be found on gamecopyworld section console.

4. The kit consist out of two things. One flash card and one loader. If I may be so boled has to advice you one to get it would be this one (####://www.divineo.co.uk/cgi-bin/div-uk/uk-gba-fl256) this kit consist out of a 256mb flash card (biggest ever) and one Loader which you need to copy the game to the flashcard.

Hope this helps you out a bid. I myself was wating for a 256mb flash card which is now out so I am going to get me one soon.

Thanks for your help. I went finally for a second hand Flash Linker (I know could be a mistake) but it will save me a few quids on the short term. It's a 128mb and comes with a CD that has a "few" games on it. Can't wait to try

Thank again, i have finally received the Flash Linker. I had no trouble uploading one game onto the cartridge, but it does not seems to work for multiple games. I get receiving an error message saying "Cannot put all files to cart". I have tried everything that i could read on the instruction, changed the BIOS, erased the cartridge several times, loaded the LittleWriter software. I am using a power adaptor. By the way it worked once to copy 3 games onto the cart but 2 were not working and the GBA was freezing when i tried to play those 2 non-working game. I have also run Adv Test Cart with LittleWriter and the result was ok. Anybody has got some idea? Thanks

Use littlewritter and it will tell you if all the games you plan to put in the cart can or can not fit the cart size.

Btw, whhich games are you trying to flash and how big is your cart?
