A while back i bought a spindle of 50, TDK CD-Rs (CDR identifier says the manufacturer is Taiyo Yuden).Let me tell ya, i think they suck.Audio CDs I've burned for the car are ####ting to discolor/flake towards the center
of the disc..right where the blue part ####ts (they have been in the car on some very hot days but, is this normal for all cd-rs, after only a few months?).They also scratch very easily. The package said "made in japan"
and the identifier program makes them out to be Taiyo Yudens.Though you couldn't wrong having those two things.Well, the spindle is running low and i plan on buying some more CD-Rs, any suggestions? Thanks for the input.

P.S. Using a Sony CRX140E/CH2 8x4x32 CD-RW drive with Adaptec East CD-creator 4 -deluxe software...pretty sure that doesn't matter in CD-R media quality but thought I tell ya anyway. Thanks again.

Try CD-R's with a WHITE PRINTABLE surface, such as Verbatim DataLife Plus or CD-R's with a MATTE TOP such as Kodak Gold Ultima or Kodak Ultima. If you can get your hand on TDKs Made in Japan or USA with WHITE PRINTABLE tops, then they'd be good for what you need them for. Other good choices include the new 24x Ricoh Gold CD-R and CD-R's with thick reflective layers such as Pioneer CDM-J74's. The reinforced tops of the CD's will reduce scratching.
