Emperor Installation?!?!?

Hey Guys!

I have a problem with Emperor, when i try too Install it, the Message "Could not find the CD" comes on the screen!!!! WHY???????
I dont understand it!

You need a cracked "Setup.exe" file cause the Setup is protected with SD2 , too .
Look at GCW and you find the Datafile for it .
Copy this file instead the original one on the CD and it work !

The game is very old now, so old, that the cracked setup.exe of Emperor is no longer to be found on GCW. But I would like to install this game and play it. Nowhere in the internet I can find a cracked setup.exe, maybe someone might help me here... Would be very nice if it's possible.

Are you talking about Emperor: Battle for Dune? GCW explicitly refuses to carry cracks for this game (as you might have read on the game's page on GCW). However, you can find cracks at both GameFix and MegaGames. (Read the forum FAQ for their links.)

Thanks for your help. But unfortunately, on that other pages they only have a cracked game.exe and a cracked emperor.exe there. But I'm searching for a cracked setup.exe, without this exe I'm unable to install the game. That cannot be found on GameFix and MegaGames. :(

What is the reason that GCW refuse to offer cracks for that game? I couldn't find any information about that on GCW.

Why do you need a crack installation program? You only have to install the game a few times and then play it without the CD... If you don't have the original CD (anymore) then you should contact the publisher (for a replacement or a new copy) or purchase another copy (on Ebay e.g.). (Also see forum rule #1!)

As for GCW not carrying cracks for a few games, I think, it's because the publisher/developer explicitly asked for their removal.

The problem is that my original cd got lost, I only found my backup CD, but the installation doesn't work with the backup CD. Anyway, maybe I'll look at Ebay to find it there for a good price.
