StreetFighter ex plus alpha backing up

My ex plus a is all scratched, so i decided to make a copy. it's a ntsc jap version, is there a need for a patch? is it protected, anyone know?
i tried using nero 5.0 to copy but it didn't work. any suggestions?
any help would be appreciated.

There is no protection on that game. use clonecd on that game if your burner allows. if not use cdrwin. I have the proggy and the serial if u would like it?
