Is there a better choice.

A Modchip is easier...just put the game in and play, but if its a new console you will invalidate your warrenty...

Bootdiscs don't invalidate your warrenty, but are a little more hassle, boot up with the bootdisc remove bootdisc insert copied game and start.. some games even need a second bootdisc to disable anti-AR (bootdisc) protection that's 2 changes...

Both will cost about the same price (unless your just buying the chip and installing it yourself) both will play copied games......

both have their disadvantages and advantages..a tough choice.....

If using a PSX-change you always run the risk of it getting scratched or damaged. to me a modchip is the best way to go

If you trust the person doing the soldiering then get the mod-chip, I prefer the Exchange CD for my ###ne as there are to many small parts to worry about, any older Playstation I'd have modded.
