Charlie, Thanks a trillion for the reply, here's another question or two.
"Fully loaded Scart lead" - you mentioned before in the past that it has all the pins in it, should this be readily available from any corner electronics store? If so, then I believe I found it.

Will the "fully loaded scart lead" work with my good ol US N64 as well? (as we can get it to work on your little Sony, but not the big Phillips)

I found a Power Stepdown device, any clue as to if it'll ever burn out or not...? As I have heard that the majority of "power converters" burn out over time (since they just use a series of resisters to down the power - and resisters just dissipate the extra electricity as thermal energy, thus melting over time)?

Speaking of Lik Sang, they reliable? Too many high way robbers out there - and from gamer to gamer, let me know what you think... I'm looking for a company with goods, that delivers (internationally), and is reliable. Is there a company you buy from regularly? If so, speak up!

You use the Origa, what are your thoughts on it...? I'm debating waiting for this damn Messiah - as it seems to be vapor right now, just hocus pocus, even the Elvis... and as soon as it's out, it's going to be a "collectors item" horded by who ever can get them, as I'm sure Sony will put their big foot down on that ASAP, and only a handful will get out the door... =( That being so, only the older chips may be available in the future - so how is the Origa...?

I see that you have a Japanese model + Origa... is that a good combo? I read in an earlier post that it can clean boot most games and copies. I haven't seen too much on Origa, that's why I ask (99% of the material out there is Neo or Modchip!) Tell as much about the Origa as you want / can. =)

Lastly, what media do you use for CD burning? From what I've read, after looking for a damn long time on the internet at different sources of rating media, the winners are Verbatim (DataLife) and Kodak Gold. What is burning the games that go into your PS2?

Do you have your own website Charlie? You should, with all this support you give to the forum here!

ANSWER: The "fully loaded Scart lead" is more properly known as the RGB Scart lead. It'll properly work any Euro TV. I've no N64 experience, but if the main pinouts are the same (i.e. no proprietary crossovers), then it'll work. No harm trying.

ANSWER: My step down device takes in 220/240v and through a transformer (wires wrapped round a magnet and tapped at the 110v point) puts out 110v for the JAP PS2. That'll feed a US PS2 as well - 115v (but I've not tried it). No resistors other than what's necessary to attenuate for the power lamp.

ANSWER: Yes - Lik Sang are reliable and I buy from them. I also buy from Madeira Games (UK).

ANSWER: Yes - for a PAL PS2 I reckon the Messiah/lone is worth waiting for. If the OrigaChip 2.0 comes out before you can freely buy Messiah off the web, then you should go for that as it'll match most of what Messiah does. If neither happens, then the OrigaChip for PAL is better than any of the NEOs because it boots import originals and has a simpler method for loading DVD-Rs.

ANSWER: You're kidding. It's just a more complex modchip oriented to no swap import originals and developed to play all backups via a simple single step swap. That's it.

ANSWER: Verbatim Datalifew or PC World (UK) PC Line are the best CDs from a burning viewpoint (4x or 8x). Of the two, the more expensive Datalife CD-Rs have better anti-scratch protection.

ANSWER: Nope. No time for the day job, the forum plus a website.
