View Full Version : NHL2001????
Ok so I may be a little out of practice with cdrwin cos I've been using clone for ages BUT!
I have created the .bin image from an original copy of NHL2001 and when I try to apply the patch using patchwiz ####://www.darksouls.co.uk/ I get the bin file is not the expected size error.
Have I set up CDRWIN up wrong I used the following settings in exratc image
1:Disc/Image Cuesheet
2:RAW
3:Error Recovery - Ignore
4:Data Speed - 2x
5:Audio Speed - 2x
6:Retry count - 50
Any Ideas

ANSWER: That one's easy - the patch was not created from the same version as the one you copied.
Have I set up CDRWIN up wrong I used the following settings in exratc image
1:Disc/Image Cuesheet correct
2:RAW correct
3:Error Recovery - Ignore wrong should be Abort
4:Data Speed - 2x neutral
5:Audio Speed - 2x neutral
6:Retry count - 50 neutral
Why do you need to patch it? CloneCD is a better way of copying it unless there is an over-riding need to patch it.
I have tried clone and I get no errors reading or writing but when I try and play it it doesn't work.
I'm using neo2.2 and dvd region x
Is there a special way to boot ea games cos I've had problems with others as well?
That one should work with CloneCD copy on NEO2.2. DAL can confirm that if he's back on the forum.
So what were your CloneCD parameters? What was the burner/reader? What buirn speed - all the usual stupid questions as the principle for that game using DVDRX with NEO2.2 is well established. This is true for all EA CD games.
And what are the failure symptoms and how do you boot with DVD RX?
i backed my NHL2001 up and i used clone cd to make the image i created a cuesheet i got the patch from ####://www.PS2ownz.com than i used CDRWIN to record the CD press record Cd than load cuesheet load it than start recording
