I bought the NEO Key Mod chip for PS2...i bought the Gameshark V1.4...but I cannont play copied games...should i be able to copy games directly on a cd and play them..or do i need a patch...what is a patch and how do i get it???

I've been using CDR Win to make the CD's by copying the game to the hard drive and then backing up on a Verbatim CDR (the brand i was told to use)

Also, there are many different methods of booting the CD that i have been told to try...i have tried all and none work....

HELP!!

I am using an HP 9100 CD writer...I used CDRWin to back up the ps2 disc to the hard drive, and then onto a cdr..i also tried it just copying straight from my other cd drive to the cdr drive, but both cd's dont work...it was installed by a friend of mine who swears he soldered on correctly.

Your burner is 100% compatable with clone cd so i would go to www.elby.de and download the trial version. Some games do not work too good with the neo-key. games by EA sports and midway do not boot correctly because there's no way to do the ea boot sequence. Give clone cd a try and be sure the neo key is in the top usb port on the PS2. If you are still having problems after this you may want to ##### the solder points on the jumper wire and be sure the install was done neat with the solder touching only the wire and the points on the board...Good luck, Hope you get it sorted.

do you still need a action replay disc or game shark disc to play back ups or is there a chip available now so that it isn't needed anymore?
Also i've tried to burn a couple of EA games for my brother in law using clone cd with no luck, my writer is fully compatible, is there any way to get these games to work, I'd be gratefull for any help, thanks
