does anyone know if a PS2 VCD bootloader disc is coming i really wanna watch VCD's on my PS2

well i went to that site and it seems that u must have a mod chip to do just about anything with those boot discs. I dont have a mod chip and i dont plan to buy one. I was just hoping that there was a boot CD that u could pop in and take back out, and then pop in your VCD (just like on the Dreamcast).

Hi,

The Playstaion2 was only designed to play DVDs not VCDs, there will NOT be a VCD boot cd in the future, that is one of the reasons why ive kept my Dreamcast cos of the VCD Option which lets be honest is a bonus.

yeah maybe there wont be a VCD boot loader for the PS2, but maybe there will......At megagames.com they teach u how to make a VCD for your PS2 and tell your to use the swap trick unitl they get further into it....

PrimoDVD and/or Nero 5.5.6.4 See the tutorials on ####://www.psxcopyworld.co.uk

PrimoDVD is bundled in the US, not in the UK. SO Nero is the easiest European option unless you can get hold of PrimoDVD.

u can do it but its not easy
use such as vcdgalaxy to rip dvd main movie pictures to hardrive(it will decrypt copy protection as it does it

follow instruction to make vcd
instead using vcd template use dvd one
then encode it with tempencode
the above take about 14 hours
athlon 1770xp
512ddr
geforce3 ti 500
it suxs bad
then use my dvd(bundle with uk pioneer dvr ao3)
import mpg2 u made
let it encode it hey presto 3 hours later u got your dvd
its ok but not perfect u covert from dvd to mpeg less quality then back to dvd quality
or u can convert to mpeg1 vcd quicker 3 1/2 hours then fit about 240 mins with menus for different films on dvd in mpg1 dvd format


the problem here is mydvd wont take .vob file which make a movie dvd
we need program called dvdmotion (dvd authoring software)but it costs like £800
anyone seen it anywere
this will take .vob files author the dvd for u nice easily

mydvd seems to have compatibilities probs with xp it causes half my pc to delay for20 mins after start up before i can use it
so my dvd is removed from my pc now
i await advice from sonic(mydvd) and mesh(i got new pc dvd writer came fitted
but they not install mydvd
now i know why :)

if u already have vcd film
look in foler mpegav in here u wiil find large file .dat
this is the movie
my dvd wont convert .dat
rename .mpeg
my dvd will accept it now but when u try to create you disk it cant encode it
use tempenc run your renamed .mpg through this with vcd template(takes 2 1/2 hours here
mydvd will now except your new file
u can burn to dvd or even mulitliple cd ps2 recognises them, as dvd
works if u burn to dvd i tested it
should work if burned to cd as it makes dvd cd not tested this i have swap disks to watch film

mydvd crashing xp update
my pc not respondind for 10-20 mins after startup seemed to happen after i installed my dvd
when removing pc is fine first boot after
but next one its same
maybe it wasnt my dvd caused the problem
