DVDr problems

I've got a neo2.5 dvd chip and AR2 v2 can't get the dvd back ups to load. someone said i need the 1.7 or 1.9 verson for it to work ? also i heard that the region x boots backups ?. can anyone tell me what i need to get these dvd backups to work & if its the region x is there a particula verson i need ?

What version PS2 do you have??

check out www.psxcopyworld.co.uk and www.ps2ownz.com and look around there for some tips, i'd try to help as you've got exactly the same set up as i will have when it gets delivered so if you have any luck let me know!!
