You also need a DVD burner and software to do it.
As DVD burners cost an arm and a leg you are cheaper off just buying originals.

Well I wouldn't say it cost Arm and Leg because
I paid fairly low for it and the Blanks..
At least it depends on what's high to some people and low to others..
It's Pioneer E-IDE Model#A03..It's around $630.00 through certain Website..While others sell it for a Bundle..
Also GT3 can be ripped and burn on a CD..
Only problem is that likely the case where it will have lot of missing features due to CD's storage limitation from 650-700 meg CDR to a Massive 4.7GB DVD-R..
So best bet is DVD-R Drive is the solution..
DVD-r can be bought for $8.00 a piece or lower depending on how much bulk you get..
Not generics but Pioneer Brands or Verbatim's at that..

... And if there was any software to do the DVD copy for PS2, BOT-CK would have mentioned it.

As a few of you know, i am U.K. based and DVD burners over here do cost an arm and a leg! Im talking £2500's or more (£'s not $'s).

O.k. so availability over the web can make things a lot cheaper but $650's in my view is still a sod of alot of dough to spend on something that still cant do the job of backing up Gran Turismo 3 PS2 DVD because the software is not availabe to do it! (yet anyway)

Well for one thing I ain't gonna lie to you saying that it runs perfectly 100% because it is sort of Bitch to Run it, the DVD-R version of GT3 however I do have software that can burn perfect copy of the Original..given that it is same file size..or less..I think only due to the fact that Modchip Vendors hasn't made a actual ModChip that can run DVD-R's..Logically speaking also my theory but due to the NeoMod or Neo### etc only allows playing of DVD-R ripped to CD-R or CD to CD-R playstation and PSx2 games only..Not the actual DVD-R burnt games..Maybe that's why it's hell to play the DVD-R games burnt from the Original DVD..That's my theory..Once almost everybody gets a DVD-R drive I'm sure the Modchip Vendors will come out with the 100% working versions of modchips that support
DVD-R games without going threw the hassle of ripping the DVD and then putting them to
CD-R..Only matter of time, maybe yr or so time period..Don't quote me on this but who knows! After all DVD-R drive was literally arm & leg 2-3 yrs back..When it was about whopping $15,000.00 for the Drive and about $35.00-$100.00 for a Blank..Which is CRAZY!!
